I nicaraguegni Fleshtorture sono tornati con l’album più devastante e potente della loro carriera. “Grotesca Doctrina De La Perversidad (Grotesque Doctrine of Perversity)” (Brute! Producitions \ Imperative PR) è un nuovo inizio sotto la bandiera del death metal old school con testi in spagnolo!

Benvenuto Rene! I Fleshtorture sono sorti in Nicaragua nel 2004, come è nata la band?
Tutto è iniziato dalla necessità del bassista Hanry Cano di creare una nuova band, proveniva da una formazione alquanto instabile chiamata Necrocoprohaemorrhage che non aveva avuto una vita lunga e decise di iniziare un nuovo progetto, reclutando membri che, con la volontà di creare qualcosa di duraturo, diedero vita ai Fleshtorture. Nel corso del tempo hanno pubblicato il primo album autoprodotto nel 2008, “Physical and Mental Intensity by the Torture”, e poi nel 2011 “Stench of Humanity” per l’etichetta Brute Productions. Dopo tanti e continui cambi, gli unici tre membri stabili, Hanry Cano (basso), Rudy Wolf (batteria) e Xhugore (voce) decisero di ingaggiare due chitarristi della vecchia scuola, Lenin Galo e me. In quel momento, nel 2017, abbiamo deciso di rifondare la band.

Quando avete riformato i Fleshtorture nel 2017 quale era il vostro obiettivo da raggiungere?
Da quando ci siamo riformati nel 2017 ci siamo posti l’obiettivo di consolidarci come band più professionale, il nostro obiettivo è progredire in ogni lavoro che facciamo, migliorando la qualità delle nostre composizioni in modo tale che ogni album sia migliore del precedente. In questo ultimo lavoro, “Grotesca Doctrina de la Perversidad”, abbiamo scelto di passare dal brutal death metal al death metal old school, per la necessità di riconnetterci con le radici che ci hanno influenzato nei nostri primi giorni, con particolare riferimento alle prime band death metal della nostra città degli anni ’90.

Perché avete avuto bisogno di quattro anni per pubblicare il vostro primo album di questa nuova fase della carriera?
Per chiarezza: la band si è riformata alla fine del 2017, quindi è praticamente come se avessimo iniziato nel 2018, anno che abbiamo occupato per la produzione e la scrittura di nuove canzoni, tuttavia, nell’aprile di quell’anno sono iniziati una serie di problemi socio-politici nel nostro paese che hanno generato molta violenza ovunque, causando molta insicurezza, quindi abbiamo deciso di aspettare che passasse un po’ di tempo affinché la situazione migliorasse, ed è stato approssimativamente nel settembre di quell’anno che abbiamo ripreso il lavoro che avevamo lasciato in sospeso. A febbraio 2019 abbiamo registrato il demo promozionale della nostra canzone “Canibalismo Eclesiastico” che sarebbe stata la canzone principale del nuovo album; tuttavia, è stato pubblicato solo ad agosto dalla nostra etichetta discografica Brute Production. Nell’ottobre di quest’anno, abbiamo iniziato con la registrazione dell’album “Grotesca Doctrina de la Perversidad” ci sono voluti circa tre mesi, finendo il processo all’inizio del 2020. Dopodiché è iniziata la pandemia da coronavirus ha colpito in tutto il mondo. Ciò ha causato molti ritardi con la produzione dell’album, questo è stato il motivo principale per cui il nostro album è stato rilasciato nel 2021.

Potresti presentarci il vostro nuovo album, “Grotesca doctrina de la perversidad”?
Bene, il nostro nuovo album “Grotesca Doctrina de la Perversidad” è uscito il 17 aprile 2021 sotto l’etichetta Brute Productions. Questo album dura 37 minuti durante i quali i potrete deliziarvi con un sound death metal old school, con testi bizzarri che sputano odio verso le religioni, che non sono altro che un metodo di indottrinamento. Mixato e masterizzato negli Stati Uniti da Chris Wisco, un tecnico del suono con una lunga storia fatta di lavori con gruppi quali Jungle Rot, Broken Hope, Disgorge, Gorgasm, Fleshgrind, Origin, Morta Skuld. L’artwork è stato creato dall’artista John Quevedo Janssens, che svela subito i contenuti dell’album, dandoti un’idea delle cose grottesche che stai per ascoltare.

Come mai avete preferito lo spagnolo per i nuovi pezzi?
Gli album precedenti non avevano testi nelle canzoni, è una caratteristica del genere brutal death metal, ma dal momento in cui abbiamo deciso di suonare death metal, sapevamo che era essenziale crearne e abbiamo sentito il bisogno di farlo nella nostra lingua. Siamo consapevoli che l’inglese è la lingua internazionale, ma vogliamo cambiare quel modo di pensare ed esprimerci nella lingua egemone nel nostro continente.

Da dove viene il vostro odio per le religioni?
La maggior parte dei nostri testi parla di blasfemia e di odio verso tutte le religioni, che sono state create dall’uomo per controllare le masse. Alcune persone ottengono molti benefici e potere da tutti ciò, umiliano e infliggono sofferenza a coloro i quali non si attengono ai loro comandi che si basano su delle leggi che hanno creato loro per favorire il loro indottrinamento. Dietro tutto questo c’è una mafia dove regna il vero terrore, la pedofilia, il sadomasochismo, la lussuria, il riciclaggio di denaro e molte altre cose causate da questo tipo di persone che si travestono da pecore per catturare la loro preda indifesa.

Qual è lo stato di salute della scena metal nicaraguense oggi, soprattutto dopo la pandemia?
Anche se nel nostro Paese, il Nicaragua, la pandemia non ha fatto scempio con la stessa intensità di altri Paesi europei, ad esempio, non significa che stiamo bene, l’intera economia mondiale è crollata, scena metal inclusa. Nonostante nel nostro Paese di recente siano ripresi alcuni spettacoli metal, l’affluenza dei fan è stata molto bassa, non tutti vogliono rischiare e contagiarsi partecipando a qualsiasi evento dove c’è un assembramento di persone. Crediamo che questa situazione andrà avanti così per molto tempo, ma siamo convinti anche che la salute sia la cosa più importante, quindi aspettiamo che tutto passi.

Quali sono stati i maggiori ostacoli geografici che avete dovuto superare per arrivare dove siete ora?
Nel nostro paese ci sono molti ostacoli, è molto difficile per una band andare avanti, non importa quanto tu sia bravo, non ci sono molti meccanismi che ci aiutano a realizzare i nostri obiettivi, devi fare tutto da solo.
Non abbiamo il supporto delle aziende private, men che meno il supporto del governo, a meno che non li sostenga nella loro sporcizia politica. Aggiungi a questo l’invidia e la gelosia di altre band, che fanno cose per farti del male, è qualcosa di triste ma vero. Abbiamo fatto strada grazie al nostro impegno e alla nostra dedizione, oltre all’impulso che ci ha dato la nostra etichetta discografica, ma per raggiungere questo livello e avere un label, abbiamo dovuto dedicare molto tempo e lavorare sodo. Inoltre, penso che siamo stati molto fortunati, se non fosse così, non saremmo stati intervistati in questo momento…

Mi consiglieresti alcune band nicaraguensi che ti piacciono?
Certo, abbiamo grandi band in Nicaragua. Ti consigliamo: i Necrosis (thrash/heavy metal) sono una delle band più vecchie del nostro paese. Hanno un album in studio intitolato “XX”. Schizoid (thrash metal) con i loro album “Asylum” e “Evil Incarnate”. Nefilin (thrash death) con l’album “Cataclismo Social”. Gorepoflesh (brutal death) e il loro album “Gore Fuckin Corpse”, una band della nostra città, e che ha firmato come noi per l’etichetta Brute Productions. I Corpus Mors (grind death) con il loro album “Abominables Espectros del Morbido y Sadico Placer” sono un’altra band della nostra città. Lucifuge Rofocale (black metal) e il loro album “Demonic Transfixion”. Aversia (black metal) una band relativamente nuova ma i cui membri provengono da realtà con una lunga storia del nostro metal. Hanno tre, EP “Dios Adverso”, “Instinto Profano” e “Malevola Reverencia”. I Servant of Morgoth (black metal) sono una nuova band e le loro canzoni sono ispirate a J.R.R. Tolkien e alle sue storie più oscure sulla Terra di Mezzo. Hanno due singoli “Servant of Morgoth” e “Dol Guldur” e presto pubblicheranno il loro primo demo omonimo.

Nicaragua’s Fleshtorture have returned with the most devastatingly powerful album of their career. “Grotesca Doctrina De La Perversidad (Grotesque Doctrine of Perversity)” (Brute! Producitions \ Imperative PR) is a new beginning under the flag od old school death metal with Spanish lyrics!

Welcome Rene! Fleshtorture started in Nicaragua in2004, how did that influence the band?
It all started with the need for bassist Hanry Cano to create a new band, he came from a somewhat unstable band called Necrocoprohaemorrhage that did not have a useful life and decides to start a new project, recruiting new members who, inspired by making a solid band, create to Fleshtorture. Over time they released their first self-produced album in 2008 “Physical and Mental Intensity by the Torture” and then in 2011 they released their album “Stench of Humanity” under Brute Productions label. After many constant changes, the only three stable members, Hanry Cano (Bass), Rudy Wolf (drums) and Xhugore (vocals) decide to hire two forgotten guitarists of the old school, this is where Lenin Galo and I, Rene Schock joined the band and influenced by the old school of death metal we decided to re-establish the band in 2017.

When 2017 Fleshtorture has been reformed which was your goal to reach?
Since we reformed in 2017 we have set ourselves the goal of consolidating ourselves as a more professional band, our goal is to progress in each work we do, improving the quality of our compositions and that each album is better than previous one. In this last album “Grotesca Doctrina de la Perversidad” we have chosen to change from brutal death metal to death metal old school, due to need to reconnect with roots that have influenced us in our beginnings, referring to first death metal bands on our city in the 90s

Why did you need four years to release your first album of this new phase of your career?
To clarify, the band was reformed at the end of 2017, so it is practically as if we started in 2018, year we occupy for production and practice of new songs, however, in April of this year a series of socio-political problems began in our country that they generated a lot of violence everywhere, causing a lot of insecurity, so we decided to wait for a few time to pass until the situation improved, and it was approximately in September of that year, that we resumed the work that we had left pending. In February 2019, we recorded the promotional demo of our song “Canibalismo Eclesiastico” which would be the main song of the new album; however, it was released until August by our record label Brute Production. In October of this year, we started with the recording of album “Grotesca Doctrina de la Perversidad” we took about three months, finishing the process at the beginning of 2020. After this began the coronavirus pandemic, that affected us worldwide. This caused many delays with the production of album that was the main reason why our album was released in this year 2021.

Could you to introduce your new album, “Grotesca doctrina de la perversidad”?
Well, we present to you our new album “Grotesca Doctrina de la Perversidad” released on April 17, 2021 under Brute Productions label. This album consists of 37 minutes where you can delight in their old school death metal sound, with bizarre lyrics that spit hatred towards religions that are nothing more than a method of indoctrination. Mixed and mastered in United States by Chris Wisco, a sound engineer with a long history of works for bands like Jungle Rot, Broken Hope, Disgorge, Gorgasm, Fleshgrind, Origin, Morta Skuld among many more bands, and artwork produced by artist John Quevedo Janssens, who gives him to album a plus, showing you the i an idea of ​​how grotesque you are about to hear.

Why do you prefer Spanish for your new song?
The previous albums lacked lyrics in their songs, it is a characteristic of the brutal death metal genre, but from the moment we decided to play death metal, we knew that it was essential to create lyrics for new songs and we felt need to create them in our language. We are aware that English is the international language, but we want to change that way of thinking and expressing ourselves in the language that predominates in our continent.

Where does come from your hate for religions?
Most of our lyrics speak blasphemy and hatred towards all religions in general, which were created by man to control the masses, in this way they obtain many benefits that make them feel powerful, humiliating and wishing the suffering to those who disregard their their mandates that are based on the laws they created to establish their indoctrination. Behind all this, there is a mafia where true terror reigns, pedophilia, sadomasochism, lust, money laundering and many more things caused by this kind of people who disguise themselves as sheep in order to catch their defenseless prey.

What is the state of health of the Nicaraguan metal scene today, especially after the pandemic?
Although in our country Nicaragua the pandemic has not wreaked havoc with the same intensity as in other European countries, for example, it does not mean that we are well, the entire world economy has gone down, and the metal scene is included. Although our country recently some metal shows have resumed, the attendance of fans has been very low, not everyone wants to take risks and get infected by attending any event where there is an agglomeration of people. We believe that this situation will happen like this for a long time, but we also believe that health is the most important thing for now, so we wait for everything to pass.

What have been the biggest  geographical obstacles you had to overcome to get where you are now?
In our country, there are plenty of obstacles, it is very difficult for a band to get ahead, No matter how good you are, there are not many mechanisms that help us to realize our goals, you have to do everything on your own. We do not have the private companies support, less the support of the government, unless you support them in their dirtiness politics. Add to this the envy and jealousy of other bands, who do things to harm you, it is something sad but true. We have come forward thanks to our own effort and dedication, in addition to the impulse that our record label has given us, but to achieve that stage and to be signed by a label, we had to spend a lot of time working hard. In addition, I think we have been very lucky, if it were not like that, we would not be being interviewed at this time…

Of course, we have great bands in Nicaragua. We recommend you: Necrosis (thrash/heavy metal) is one of oldest bands in our country. They have a studio album titled “XX”.
